Add DRAFT Watermark to PDF

A document circulated for feedback or review carries a real risk of being treated as final by anyone who receives it without context — forwarded further, filed as though it were approved, or acted on as though the numbers, terms or dates in it were settled. Stamping DRAFT directly onto every page removes any ambiguity at the point someone is actually reading it, rather than relying on an email subject line or a conversation that may not travel with the file to everyone who eventually opens it. Because the file itself carries the label rather than the channel it was sent through, the warning survives being forwarded, printed, or opened months later with no memory of the original context.

For anyone iterating on a document without a formal review system in place, a DRAFT watermark combined with a version number in the file name — `proposal-draft-v3.pdf` — is a low-effort substitute for real version control: each iteration is unambiguously marked as not-yet-final both in its name and, more durably, in the document itself, right up until a final pass removes the watermark and produces the version actually meant to be treated as approved. The file name alone is easy to lose the moment the document is saved elsewhere or emailed onward; the watermark travels with the content and cannot be dropped by accident.
